Special Nalini Singh Giveaway

Today, Kiss of Snow is available to the general public. Finally, us little people who have been writhing with jealousy at all those advance reviews can get our hands on a shiny new copy! And even more exciting, the e-copy is available the same day as the paper copy! As someone who has turned entirely to digital reading… that’s a big deal 😀

Anyway, I’ve been waiting for Hawke and Sienna’s book for at least two years. I remember checking Nalini Singh‘s webpage in either ’08 or ’09 and having this reaction: Nnnnnnnnnooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

So anyway, all those little excerpts that have been posted that I couldn’t resist now fit as parts into a whole. I’ve steadily ignored all reviews – but everyone has been saying this book is awesome, and worth the hardcover price. (Yup, this book is hardcover, the first in the series in this format.)

I asked Ms. Singh about doing a “Guest Author & A Giveaway” post, but at that point I was scheduling into 2012 and she declined, based on the variables of her schedule and I was asking her about something over a year in advance. However, she’s super generous, so she’s offered a giveaway here! What’s the prize? A super swanky copy of Slave to Sensation. (My apologies – it’s not a copy of Kiss of Snow, as way back in February Nalini told me the list publicity had was already super long, so I figured, a sure thing is better than no thing, yes? Anyway we can go out and buy our copies of KoS “together.”)

There’s also a reason for this, actually, Nalini offered Slave to Sensation because it’s the first book in the series. So if you haven’t read any of the Psy/Changeling books, here’s your chance! Or, if you love the series that much, and really like signed copies of books… it’s a golden opportunity!

So leave a comment today for your chance to win! (And of course if you already have a copy, I hope you’ll chat with us anyway, and just let me know you already have the book.) Quick note – the winner will be chosen via randomizer.org and posted on Saturday – it’s your responsibility to check back at the blog.

Have you read the books in this series? (I’m a book or two behind as of Mid-May, so I’ve got a little bit of time to catch up :D.) What do you think of shifters? Have a favorite type of shifter? If you’ve read the books, which character is your favorite?

Would you want to be Psy, Changeling, or Human?

And since I can’t ever be not long-winded… to explain: I also badgered poor Nalini about this because… tomorrow it’s June! And June is my Birthday Month. So I want everyone to love it as much as I do, so it’ll be giveaway palooza up in here. Stay tuned! 😉

As a winter birthday I miss that sun and fun stuff to do around my birthday so I hope it turns out to be a beautiful day for you….**S**
I have wanted this first book for a long time, so I will keep my fingers crossed. I don’t like starting a series out of order or I get to confused….

I have only read one of the books in this series. They don’t carry them in the library usually but i was in one of the two i use and saw that had one so i grabbed it because curiosity was killing me. I loved it but it obviously would’ve made more sense had i read the ones before it. I need to actually get book one and get started. I have read some of her other books though and loved those.

Happy almost birthday month, Lime!! You’re in awesome company..my grandson’s birthday is the 26th, and he’s the coolest person in the universe. No, I am not prejudiced….

So what’s your favorite kind of cake? Since I’m a cook, I’ll make one and celebrate your birthday with my residents at work. Most of them have a bit of dementia, so I might even be able to convince them they know you lol. If not, they will still enjoy cake. Then at the end of the month, I’ll celebrate my grandson’s bday by going to visit him. He’s happy I’m coming to visit..and I’m sure you would rather have cake LMAO

Also. since I’ve never read any of Nalini’s Psy/Changling books, I’d gladly accept a copy of Slave to Sensation as a reverse gift to me from you on your birthday month 🙂

Started this series in January, bough Slave to Sensation. Immediately needed the next one. I had the hardback of Caressed by Ice thanks to a friend cleaning out her books.

Friend who had an extra copy of Vision of Heat took pity on me. I noticed in Jan that I wanted to read Singh and I had a lot of other books, so Feb and March I focused on those other books.

In April I said “Heck with those other books) And so I gorged. I started with the book after Caressed by Ice and went through. I didn’t stop there but read the first three books of the Guild Hunter.

But I’m gonna go sulk because I have to wait to get Kiss of Snow. Literally no funds to get it, even though I sooooo want it, but I don’t buy hardbacks.

June is my oldest’s birthday month too. I can’t believe he’ll be 13.

    Happy Birth Month!!

I’ve never read any of these books. People have to push me HARD to read paranormal but I am interested in hers because so many people have recommended them.

    Cheers!

    Happy Birthday Month to you!

I haven’t started this series yet but I adore shifter stories. They are my favorite type of paranormal romance. I even like shifters better than vamps. I’ve heard great things about Kiss of Snow. The buzz on twitter and the blogs has made me eager to try it. I’ve read on several sites that it could be read as a stand alone story without being too confusing. I would love to win this book. Thanks for another great giveaway!

    Hey Lime!
June is THE birthday month, and I celebrate my 25th wedding anniversary on your bday as well! All of my siblings and I, as well as my mom have June bdays, so lots of fun this month! I have not read all of Nalini’s books, but I look forward to meeting her at Lori’s this year and buying quite a few.

I have not had the pleasure of reading anything by Ms. Singh. She is one author I have been meaning to add to my TBR pile, but it needs to be thinned out a bit. I would love to win this to see why everyone raves about this series.
