Money Makes Up For It (Winner)

Really this could be the beginning of a really interesting post, that’s thought provoking, has social commentary, and all those lovely smart intellectual things.

You’ll have to go elsewhere, sorry. I went to one of the most hellish weddings this past Saturday. Really. (And I ran into like everyone in my past guaranteed to make me feel like a loser on the way there. Who has luck like that?)

Anyway, courtesy of Randomizer.org the winner of Shannon Stacey’s giveaway is Edie! Which reminds me I need to buy a copy of Yours to Keep… So Edie you lucky person, contact Shannon Stacey ([email protected]) and she’ll get you your prize. ๐Ÿ˜€

You might also notice I have this post scheduled as going up on Saturday. Which I did because I can. [Also because my OCPD is all “you only post on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays!” But uh, see above an the whole wedding from hell and tiredness. Have I mentioned that? I’ve had about six hours of sleep for the past three days. I get grumpy and snarky.] It also explains the “blog title” because… I figure you’ll forgive me for being two days late as you all had the potential to get some green.

I’m also quite displeased because I have a mosquito bite the size of a tennis ball. I’ve reacted to them very poorly my entire life. Which is awful. I know better than to scratch or anything. It doesn’t matter. Any salve, etc, doesn’t help. And it’s right behind my knee so it hurts to walk. And in general. So I’m sulking and whining. However because I like you all, I won’t post a picture of it. Although I took one. (Have I mentioned I’m totally out of it?)

I think you should rant/whine/sulk/complain too – if you want to. Got anything you’re unhappy with or about? Do things that should be rather normal and innocuous take you out? Like… paper cuts that bleed for two days? A small tap or bump that blossoms into an awesome bruise? Come on – I know you’re out there! Keep me company, please!

Sorry Limecello. I wake up with phantom bruises all the time. I think they happen in the middle of the night when the puppy wakes me up. She woke me this morning at 2:30 am. I finally fell back asleep three hours later. The dog let me sleep thirty minutes before getting me up for the day. She’s trying to kill me. Seriously.

Eek! I’ve been so out of it! Stacie – obviously you need to play with Geisha more so she’s tired out ๐Ÿ˜‰ Also :X geez. Apparently you’re in an abusive relationship… with a dog!

My daughter gets bug bites like that – her leg sweels up to twice the size. If we wash it off right away, and then apply green clay to it twice a day for a few days unitl it dries, she usually doesn;t have to go on steroids for it). I get powdered french green clay at the health food store. And it makes a great facial mask too – it draws anything out!!

I had a miserable weekend too! Bad appergice reaction – my eyes basically swelled closed saturday morning (ice packs helped) then sunday I had what felt like a 10 hour panic attack, but was just my heart rate staying over 100 when it is usually 68. I know I should have gone to the ER, but they just would have given me stuff to make me feel worse. And now the skin around my eyes is super wrinkly from being stretched out all weekend so I look about 20 years older than I usually do. Oh, and I have a bit zit on my cheek.

THanks for letting my join the pity party!! ๐Ÿ™‚ I needed it today!

Susan – oh no, I definitely feel for your daughter ๐Ÿ™ – but! What’s this green clay you speak of? Just… powdered french green clay? Any brand etc?
Eek. That’s so horrible about your panic attack : I hope your week got better and at least this one wasn’t like that!

Ugh. My oldest kiddo reacts like that to bites. I’m having a pity party today because my RA is acting up in my foot and I have to go downstairs to go to the bathroom. Guess I won’t drink much today. LOL.

Chelle – you’re more than welcome to throw yourself a pity party here any time! I hope your RA has settled down, and that it’s not too warm! I never like moving around when it’s beastly hot in the summer.

๐Ÿ™‚ Thanks! Hope your bite has calmed down! My RA tends to do better during the summer. So as much as I hate the heat…my body loves it. LOL. I’m my own worst enemy because I hate to sit still and often push myself and then whine about it later. ๐Ÿ˜€

I have so many allergies it’s ridiculous. I’m constantly getting rashes all over from who knows what next and it sux! lol I too hvae RA and that crap hurts.
But right now what bugs me the most is the hot as hell summer heat we’re getting in Texas. I’d move but it was just as hot in DC when I was there, and in Chicago and NY too. I hate the heat but not sure I could survive a hard winter…. so Idk…I just gripe about it lol

Bella – oh no ๐Ÿ™ that all sounds horrible. As for the heat… hahaha – I’m not laughing at you, but with you. It’s been insane everywhere, from temps in the 40s to 80s or 90s the next day… then back to the 50s. Miserable on all aspects, and I’m sure people are getting sick everywhere…

DC is miserable in the summer because it’s built on a *swamp!*

LOL no worries, Edie, I knew you were excited about the win- I’d be too! And how fortuitous I’m actually checking my own blog now so it’s totally like I’m stalking your comments…
My leg still hurts and feels like it’s cramped. That was one damn poisonous little bastard mosquito. Grr. But… it’s getting a little bit better each day, thankfully!
