Winners!

Remember when I gave y’all dangerous free reign to ask me anything? I’m actually a bit surprised, and grateful at the same time. 😉 Nobody asked me anything scandalous or embarrassing. Whew!

Well, this time I used randomizer.org*, and the winners of that giveaway are Liz and JoAnne! Liz – please send me your email, and we’ll work out an ebook for you to get. JoAnne, you are to email me your address please so your prize is sent out to you. Isn’t that fortuitous? It worked out perfectly for two winners and two formats! You can use the form at the top of the blog, and please do get back to me by Thursday, October 27 at the latest. Thanks!

Now – curiosity again re: the ARCs etc – what genre do you like? And… who would be able to commit to writing a review? I don’t think I’ll do a mass effort – at least not at this point – but I could very well likely hook up at least a few people with various books…

*With the randomizer.org thing … everyone who commented on that post left something of substance or was interactive, so I was more than happy to leave it to the internet gods of random. However, I definitely reserve the right to only consider/draw names from people who leave “real” comments now and in the future. Just an FYI – I’ve mentioned/imposed it as of a week or two ago. 🙂 [Not that most of you who are reading this will even have to “worry” about that. Just… venting my spleen a bit I suppose.]

    Vent away!! It’s your right.

As to genres, I read Historical anything & everything above all others. I doubt I could find the time to commit to a decent review.

Mary, Thanks! And – I’m right there with you. :X Which is why I’m asking, because… I’m shamefully behind on reviews. Although I’m finally reading a bit more, which makes me happy.

Congratulations to the winners Liz & JoAnne..!

And thank you Limecello for the wonderful place that you run. I wouldn’t find the nice people nor the authors, or topics to be involved in as I used to hide offline due to previous internet trolls who have nothing to do with their life but be miserable human beings.
Thank you for the opportunity to “engage” as it’s been a joy in meeting wonderful people…mainly yourself…lol

Fingers crossed I continue to avoid trolls on my blog! 🙂

Congratulations to Liz and JoAnne – enjoy! Some of my favorite genres are romantic supsense, thrillers, romance, mysteries. Depending upon the turn around time you need, I can commit to a review.

Hmmm Karen, okay – thanks! I’d think for ARCs you could have at least a month – do you think that would be a reasonable turn around? I’d really only have romance and it’s sub-genres for review. So you read romantic suspense and what other types of romance?
I’ve turned down a few ARCs because I don’t read paper books, but I figured, you know if I “pass that on” – it’s win-win, because someone gets an ARC, and my blog has reviews!

Finally, after many interruptions of 3 little barkers and a cat who seems to think my laptop is a bed, I wanted to say that I would love to review for you, and like posted above it depends on the turnaround as I don’t want have to be a speed reader but I am a fast reader. Wishing a great week….*S*

Darcy – oh yay! What romance sub-genres do you read? Also, how quickly do you think you could write a review? I want to say most ARCs would be available a few months before publication – so you’d generally have at least a month?

Congrats to JoAnne, too. Thank you so much! Sent you a contact form already.

Re: the ARCs, I would be happy to read and do reviews. My favorite genre is romance and all the sub-genres that fall under it. All I’d need is the ARC and clear deadline/requirements and I’d go to town on that bad boy! 🙂

    Thanks again!

Thanks all. I usually don’t win things for contests I enter so this is really exciting.
I love romance, chick lit, historical romance, mysteries, spy and political thrillers. I especially love connected stories and those with themes of Christmas or knitting and quilting, although I do neither. I also like books with a western theme or cowboys thrown in.
I can definitely commit to writing a review on an ARC I receive. I currently write reviews for RomancingtheBook.com as a volunteer. You can find them at http://www.romancing-the-book.com/search/label/JoAnne if you’d like to take a peek at how I write. I also write reviews on goodreads.com for books I read for pleasure (and non review). They can be found at

I’ve read and reviewed 65 books for goodreads since April 2011.

Wow, JoAnne – I went through your link at RomancingtheBook – you sure are prolific!
:X I think I’m going for a slightly different style though – more like the reviews I’ve posted here… even though they’re few and far between. I’m still playing with the idea though, and so far it’s nobody but me. Well, and Cathie 😀 But she was here way before.

Congratulations to the winners. I thought that ‘ask me anything’ was a lot of fun. I might have to do that on my own blog one day when I am not scared what my friends would ask me…lol I think my brother reads my blog at times and I don’t trust him one bit. LOL

I love reading paranormal romance books, I especially love vampires. I’m on a vampire kick right now. lol I have written a few reviews and they are posted on my blog. I don’t write many but I could definitely commit to writing one for you.

      Mary,

Hehehe – right?! I was expecting all sorts of outrageous things, but nope! And not one author I’ve tormented came to play, so I’m feeling pretty good about that.
      I actually haven’t read anything vampire in quite a while. Just… I don’t know.
      Got any rec’s?

I love the contemporary erotic romance, BDSM, menage, m/m and the various mixes of these genres.
A month is more than enough time as it just takes a couple days to put the thoughts in my head down into a review for you…..*S*
Now that I’m back to work I can read on my hour lunch too…*S*
Thank you so much for the chance to review for you!

I read a little bit of everything. I haven’t found a Christian romance that I have really enjoyed. I also haven’t found an Angel series that I like. I read erotic and BDSM but not the really serious ones. I love historical (just about any era and geographical location), contemporary, funny and serious.

Jen B., have you read anything of Denise Hunter’s? Not sure if she’s considered Christian romance or just Christian fiction, but the few books of hers that I’ve read, I’ve liked. I read Christian fiction occasionally, but I can’t think of any Christian romance authors at the moment.

Jen – do you have a favorite historical romance author? And thank you, Tricia, for the recommendations for Jen – I would totally have been lost on that one! 🙂

You all are the best! xoxo

I do write reviews for many authors. I am timely ( that means I read fast) and literate ( that means the review isn’t dorky). All I require is a free copy and the 3 places you want it posted!

Thanks for your interest in the reviews – I’m considering it – I think I might have jumped the gun with how I went about asking … but you know, at least I know it has potential!

    Congrats Liz & Joanne!

I’m not sure what category the romance novels I’ve read fall under; I like Jill Shalvis, Carly Phillips, Kristan Higgins, Susan Mallery, Nora Roberts, etc. I do like to try reading things out of my norm, though. (Don’t think I could handle erotic or BDSM) Just finished Water For Elephants; it was pretty good. Before that, I was on a YA kick, mostly paranormal/fantasy types (Mortal Instruments series by Cassandra Clare, Wolves of Mercy Falls series by Maggie Stiefvater, Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins). I occasionally read Christian Fiction & mysteries as well.

Anyway, if you need more reviewers, I’d be willing to try. I have a Goodreads account, but only review occasionally. I always feel like my reviews are a little dorky because I have trouble being descriptive. I do read fast & have read almost 100 books this year. Let me know if you want me to help.

Thanks again for all you do!!

      Tricia,
You know, I think you like contemporary romance, based on the authors you recommended… and *possibly* women’s fiction/ romance with a hint of WF.
Which YA books did you read? I love the genre, but I’m way attached to the books that were available when, well, *I* was a young adult 😛

You’re such a sweet heart! Thanks. I think I might – if/when I decide to ask for reviewers – do a like… “send me a sample” thing. Of course then I’ll have to be able to follow through with ARCs. Heh. After seeing my latest review posted, I think authors will be running away from me and this blog…
But you know – reviews aren’t for authors, much as it seems that way.
