Birthday Girl Elyssa Patrick Presents a Stay With Me Excerpt & Giveaway!

Woohoo! Another ALBTALBS birthday celebration!! Today we have Elyssa Patrick 😀 She’s been writing NA’s lately, and is sharing from her newest, Stay With Me. Do you guys read New Adult books? (Which incidentally, is what NA means. Totally the new hot thing.)

So please remember to wish her a very happy, wonderful birthday! With all sorts of chocolately goodness. 😀

Thanks so much for having me on the blog, Lime! Today is my birthday! Wheeeeee!!!! And, as such, I’m going to have a little bit of a celebration on Lime’s blog. Cupcakes! Chocolate! Champagne! Richard Armitage—oh wait, sorry, he’s not here—but we can imagine he is. 😉

So I just released my first New Adult, Stay With Me. I’m so excited about it and hope everyone falls in love with Hailey, Caleb, and the rest of the gang. Stay With Me features Hailey Bloom, who is a very famous rock star/actress, who leaves fame behind and enters a college to have a normal life. While attending college in Vermont, Hailey ends up meeting the hero, the very sexy and intriguing Caleb Fox. Here’s the official blurb, followed by a short excerpt from the book:

New Adult/Contemporary Romance – recommended for ages 17 and up.

With one look, I’m his . . .

With one touch, he’s mine . . .

With one kiss, it changes everything between us . . .

I’ve been famous since I can remember. Singing, acting, dancing—I’ve done it all. The tabloids cover my every move, but I don’t want that anymore. I want to be normal, whatever that is.

When I leave Hollywood for college in Vermont, I’m on my own for the first time in my life. This is my chance to figure out who I am and what I want in life.

But it’s a lot harder than I expected. I can’t escape my image. Classes are difficult, and I’m struggling. And then there’s Caleb Fox.

Sexy, intriguing Caleb Fox.

Caleb is the one man who doesn’t want to use me. He breaks down my walls. He challenges me. He wants me. And I just don’t know if I can give him the same—or if he’ll stick around when he finds out my shameful secret that the tabloids haven’t managed to uncover.

Dating him is risky enough, but loving him could break me.

Excerpt from Stay With Me:

He runs a finger down my cheek. “You’re blushing.”

“I’m always blushing around you.”

“I know,” he says, a shy grin escaping as he leans closer to me. “I’ve always wanted to kiss you when you’re blushing.”

I draw back slightly to meet his dark, heated gaze. Breathing seems suddenly impossible, and the space between us too far. “Oh?”

“I’ve wanted to put my mouth”—his finger traces a path over the apple of my cheek—“here and . . .

“Here.” His thumb grazes my cheekbone and then down my neck. “And here and here and here.”

“Just so you know,” I say, leaning into his touch, as his fingers continue to stroke me, pet me, caress my skin that burns under him, “I’ve wanted you to do the same. And I—”

I swallow heavily as Caleb’s head swoops down and he presses his mouth against the pulse in my neck. His teeth graze oh so gently against me as his tongue soothes the mark, and then his lips trail up my neck.

“You were saying?”

My hands clutch on his shoulders. “I want to kiss you. Everywhere.”

I’d like to give away three digital copies of Stay With Me. How do you like to celebrate your birthday? What has been the best birthday present you’ve received?

Elyssa is very generously offering three copies of Stay With Me to three lucky people who comment. Isn’t she sweet to celebrate her birthday by offering you presents? 😀

Happy birthday, Elyssa! Thanks for visiting with us on your special day! <3

Happy Birthday Elyssa! I hope you had a fabulous celebration. I went to college in the town next to Princeton University and it was a big thing in the news at that time that Brooke Shields was attending Princeton. We made jokes about it and she wasn’t even on our campus so I think it is a pretty brave thing for a celebrity to do that.

    Happy Birthday!!!

I like to celebrate my birthday with family. All of the traditions from my childhood – cake, candles etc. No cooking or cleaning up on your birthday is a BIG deal.
