What’re You Reading?

Not that I’m procrastinating or anything, or wishing one of you would come and stab me in the head … Of course not. >.>

I am curious though. What’ve you been reading? Anything good?

I finished Unwound by Lorelie James, and Sinners at the Altar by Olivia Cunning. I liked the first more than the second… but I won’t talk about the book because *fingers crossed* I’ll be doing a review for it for the TBR challenge. 😛

Any recommendations for me? >.> Any books I should avoid? I’ve had pretty good reading luck lately, but some DNF disappointments – and nothing that I just loved – although I definitely recommend Hard Time by Cara McKenna. You wanna get your little paws on this book. (Heh – maybe I should do a review on this book.)

Hm … now seeing this post makes me wonder if I ought to make hyperlinks more noticeable … (All the titles are liked to the book – cuz I personally like clicking to see, and figured you might as well)

I am also excited for Hard Time by Cara to come out!! I’m currently reading some Victoria Dahl (Good Girls Don’t, Bad Boys Do, Real Men Will) that I got from my local library and really enjoying them. I’ve also been reading some Lauren Dane (Tart) and Charlotte Stein (Addicted). I’m sampling from a book buffet these days!

Christine – those sound great! I’ve been behind on V. Dahl’s books but I know a lot of people loved them – especially the new(est)? I have Charlotte Stein in the TBR too – but :X I think she might be more BDSM-ey than I usually go for? I’m really excited about Lauren’s upcoming Ink and Chrome series 😀

I have been reading more erotic novels lately. Ones that I found I love are Joey Hill. Her first 2 books in the Nature of Desire series were wonderful in my opinion. I haven’t read more yet, but plan to. 🙂

Tina I love Joey W. Hill’s writing – I don’t remember (isn’t that horrible? :X) If I’ve read that series – but the one with Lucas? With the Knights of the Boardroom? Might be my favorite by her thus far 😀

Audrey, I agree. Also … while I know lots of people love it, BDSM isn’t so much my thing, so my favorite of the series was Sweet Seduction – I loved how kickass Julie was and how Nathan just … went bananas over her and chased her. 😀 I like those stories. 😉

Well I’m finishing up Unwound by Lorelei James and Letting Go by Maya Bank. Give me a day I’ll have something wonderful to say about them.

Denise – isn’t that fun though? I think a variety keeps things fresh. Although … XD have you ever heard of the group “Capitol Steps?” XD Sorry, it’s just … they have this song “Fence Montana” … man I wish I could find it!

I’ve been reading outside my usual paranormal romances lately to try and mix it up. I’m reading the Mattie Winston mystery series by Annelise Ryan, which is really funny and Sealed With a Kiss by Mary Margaret Daughtridge, which is unusual for me because I don’t normally read anything with military characters in it. But I happily stumbled upon it and am enjoying it. Also just finished a memoir called Boy Kings of Texas by Domingo Martinez for one of my book clubs; very different read than I’m used to as well! All are good and I recommend:)
