When You’re a Mess, You Need Help

Hi friends! I don’t even know what to say. ALBTALBS is up for now, and to stay up, which is good, since ASO took “all my monies!” … Which … come 2019 I’m thinking I need to have a new hosting company already in sight.

Anyway, I know I’ve been really absent for say, the past few years, even. I’ve got a lot going on. We all do, I know. But this year, I’ve been really out of commission, and this is part of it.

Elise Rome decided to take it upon herself to set up a GFM for me – which kinda details a bit of what’s been going on. I had no part of it, but was and am totally verklempt with the love and support from romanceland. I’m definitely still in the weeds though, so if you could find it in your heart (and wallet) to give, I’d be beyond grateful. I’d also be incredibly grateful if you’d share the link – because maybe some kind, and wealthy stranger would feel compelled to help out as well. https://www.gofundme.com/limecello

Thank you all, and hopefully once some of this is sorted I can be a more present [and useful?] blogger! <3

Testing

Just a quick note to say … well I know I’m behind – but also – what you don’t know, is since ~January or so some jackwagon(s) have been trying to hack into my blog and it is annoying as fuck and also apparently screwing things up so …

Yeah. Beyond that, there is just a lot going on in “Lime’s world.”

After RT I’m pretending I’ll have more time. And maybe believing that will make it happen?

I also need to know if posts are finally going to FB again. So … does anyone get here from my FB page?

And what book recommendations do you have for me?

Kindle Some Fires for Charity

Social Media for Social Good (SMSG) has been extended… because I don’t think I did a good job spreading the word. In fact, I meant to do that all of January too – but that was fail. What is SMSG? Read about it here: http://www.tartsweet.com/2013/10/26/smsg13-we-can-help-stop-human-trafficking/

Nevertheless I want to do that now. I’m going to create a rafflecopter… :X soon.

We can discuss prizes – it could be a kindle fire, a box of books, or something else, such as jewelry. I do want to note the prize will be *something that I have already. Why? I don’t want to spend money on this because I feel like if I were to spend money, it should go to a donation for charity. Does that make sense?

I hope you all understand.

How will this work? Any person who gets someone to comment on the SMSG13 post, or donate, or both, gets an entry. It’s your job to keep track. So, regardless if I do a rafflecopter or not, you can keep track in the comments of this post.

Ready? Set, GO! SMSG ends on VDay so let’s do this up big! Maybe we can raise a[nother] thousand. Or more! <3 I know I can depend on you!

*NB – the prize will be something NEW. I wouldn’t foist a white elephant type gift on any of you – especially not when it’s for something as brilliant as helping out a charitable cause!

Secondly, I’m closing comments here – because I want all your comments and questions to go to the SMSG post – because remember, each comment helps raise money for charity!

New Feature: Indie Author Spotlights + Your Part in This

You all may have noticed that I’ve started a new feature and that Bella Andre is visiting with us today. This is something I plan on doing quarterly at ALBTALBS .

Where do you come in?

I want to know what questions I should be asking these authors in the future? (And if you wouldn’t mind please spreading the word…) Upcoming we have R.E. Butler, Elle Lothlorien, Jax Cassidy, Beverley Kendall, Dee Tenorio, Laurie B. London, Ruthanne Reid, and Katy Madison. (Which actually takes us into the beginning of 2015! Eek!)

And are there any authors you’d like to see in the spotlight?

Thanks so much and I hope you’ll join me in these new and exciting ventures! <3

Help Needed! Site/Domain Name Change!

Hi friends! So I’ve been talking about this for a while. (Or, thinking about it. I think I first mentioned it in May?) I want to finally bite the bullet and make this a hosted site. Hopefully it’s not something I’ll come to regret.

Here are ones I’m thinking: (And yes I realize they’re totally different.)

So I could do http://www.Limecello.me

Or http://www.ALBTALBS.com

Or http://www.LimecelloReads.com

Or http://www.LittleTartSweet.com

Or http://www.TartSweet.com

I really like ALBTABLS and TartSweet, personally.

What do you think? Obviously I’ll remember my own site’s URL. (Or I should. If I don’t I’m SOL and that’s my own fault.) But what about you?! (Other than you know, you could subscribe, or bookmark, etc – but still.) I like the idea of making this more collaborative and getting input.

Thanks everyone! <3

Also – just thought of this – some bitch is going to go grab those domains and then I’m going to just stab myself in the eye. Ugh.

I want to get this all done before my SMSG 12 drive too – so really soon. (Might as well just rush it to get it done, right?)

Point is: which one do you like best? (Or do you have a great/fitting suggestion that isn’t yet taken? Obviously TartandSweet and Limecello are both already taken. Grrr.)

Thank You to Barbara Monajem, V.K. Sykes, and Amber Lin

Why? Because they’re the July ALBTALBS sponsors! (They were also the sponsors in June, which was a total shitshow, so that’s why I didn’t get a chance to write a similar post. My apologies!) Anyway… So much love to these authors!

I’ve got one spot open for August, and so on, so if anyone is interested, or knows someone who would be, please contact me! Thanks so much! (This means a better, faster blog as soon as I get the site move, and also, even more and better prizes and contests!)
