Hodge Podge

I don’t think I’ve actually mentioned the new Heroes and Heartbreakers site yet, which is Macmillan’s new romance community type deal. If you’re at all interested in posts from me that are more “intelligent” – or at least articulate, I hope you’ll check them out. I’ve included a link for your convenience πŸ˜‰

In other news… I’ve been sick, but I think I’m coming down with a nasty chest cold thing. Anyway, it’s hurt to breathe the past few days, so hopefully it gets better instead of worse >.<

I’ve also been watching movies from the library – finally caved and watched Inception and enjoyed it a lot more than I thought I would. The previews didn’t hook me, nor did the hype. I’m not big on Leonardo DiCaprio, so it says something I liked the movie as much as I did. I’m also thinking of climbing on the Joseph Gordon-Levitt fan train.

Then, on twitter, a random discussion of who you’d rather “hook up” with – Batman or Superman? It seemed pretty equal – so… who would you pick? And to make it fun, let’s throw in Wolverine too. Or any other superhero, or even super villain. (Some people said they preferred the villains. I’m kinda hoping they’re joking, because… Bane? Penguin? really?)

I’m thinking about watching Red soon… possibly with my dad for his birthday because he loves comedy types… What movies have you seen recently? Got any recommendations from them – new or old? And one I might just go see in theaters? Jane Eyre starring Michael Fassbender. <3 (And you know – other people too :P)

And… last note/small voice. I realized the post I meant to have up … well obviously that didn’t happen. So I’m kinda curious to see what happens if I publish a post but “pre-time” it. Anyone who subscribes care to let me know? *does cute + angelface* And thanks!

Oh I’ll take a Wolverine/Batman sammich any day! Yum. Never been a Superman girl but damn I love me some Henry Cavill.

I’ve been drooling over the Michael Fassbender as Mr Rochester trailer since last Fall. He is going to have a breakout year. He’s also playing Magneto in the X-Men prequel and he has a part in Prometheus which takes place in the same universe as the Alien movies.

I was just introduced to the new Heroes & Heartbreakers website this week. So far it looks very cool.

    Feel better Limecello!

Stacie – Ooo the hotness of a Wolverine-Batman sandwich! I can barely stand it! And I so agree – Henry Cavill is gorgeous. And mine all mine πŸ˜›

I’ve seen the X-Men prequel, and love that Fassbender is in it. I hope he has a break out year as well. I think he’s fabulous in Centurion. As for Prometheus though… the whole alien thing… meh. Make me think of Raoul Bova, who like disappeared after his Aliens vs Predators stint.

I love, love going to the movies. I try to see 1 or 2 movies a week. You and your dad will like Red. I came into it with low expectations and was pleasantly surprised. Plus, Red has the eye candy of Karl Urban. Yum.

Very excited to see Jane Eyre. This coming week I’ll be watching The Adjustment Bureau and Rango.

I pick Superman. Clark is such a decent guy. Batman/ Bruce has too many demons.

      Hi Vi!
Oooo one or two movies a week? You lucky girl! What’d you think of Black Swan?
Hm… Karl Urban’s wiki photo is kinda meh – but maybe he looks better in real life. I remember him being okay as Eomer… or at least I didn’t remember him too much one way or the other πŸ˜›

Clark is a decent guy, isn’t he? But… he’s an alien and green rocks make him useless :X Although, Henry Cavill superman? Yes please. Batman/Bruce is kinda emo angsty… but he’s rich and smart. Tough call, especially if it’s Christian Bale type Batman vs Henry Cavill Superman.
But what a dilemma to have, right? πŸ˜‰

I’m unsure what the inside of a movie theater looks like at this point of my life. I know the hubs and I went. At some point last year but no clue what the movie was. lol

I’ll crawl all over Wolverine please. Batman can be waiting in the wings. πŸ˜‰ Superman may be the man of steel but he seems soft and upstanding to me. I think its the hair. All I can think of is vanilla in bed and lord knows I’m not that big a fan of vanilla.

I realize I shouldn’t be typing at all. No filters for me yet on my foggy brain. *looks at full cup of coffee*

    Later.

Hee! I like you without coffee, Brandy πŸ˜‰ And I agree – Superman is so… wholesome. Although maybe that latent alien … whatever… or you know, I could get with the Superman train with Henry Cavill πŸ˜€

When it comes to comic book crushes I have always loved Gambit. He’s just my kind of sexy:)
I also didnt think I’d like Inception but when I saw it (on dvd from library too, cuz movie tickets r outrageous!) it surpassed my low expectations so much I ended up loving it lol

Bella, you know, I think I thought the exact same thing! Heh. I expected Inception to kinda suck – the hype to be… well, hype and overblown. Also I went in with the super low expectations because I just do not like LdC.

But… joke’s on me! I’m contemplating buying it… but only if I can get a good deal πŸ˜›

One of the benefits of retail is that I have days off during the week. So I can see movies at matinee prices and usually not have to worry about a crowd.

Loved The Black Swan but getting tired of the over- analysis of what the movie is actually about. Natalie Portman truly deserved that Oscar!

Vi – Ohh that is nice. There’s a theater close ish to me [only one with stadium seating though – about 30 min away?] with cheaper prices- $5 for the “early bird” showing. Maybe I should go see Black Swan… but it might freak me out…
And yes, I can see how people are over analyzing it and ruining it, but I’ve been lucky enough to avoid it.
I talk about going to the movies, but I rarely do. :X I’m a DVD from the library kind of girl.
