I present you with our second brave author, Sorcha Mowbray, taking up the awesome ALBTALBS dare. Enjoy!
Hi there. So Limecello threw a dare out into the twittersphere and for some reason—maybe I was drinking?—I took her up on it. As a result below you have a completely ridiculous M/F/M Cougar/Parrot/Vampire romance below. It’s 950 words of OMGWTFBBQ! (I hope, anyway.)
Damn it. How did she always get in these situations?
Curiosity.
They may say curiosity killed the cat, but seemed like it was bound and determined to kill the parrot too. Goldie sighed, well as much as a parrot can sigh. She ruffled her feathers and watched as the sexy, half naked man and the cougar circled each other. The cougar was clearly not happy, but the man didn’t seem the least bit concerned. A little wary? Yes. Concerned? Not so much.
“Come on Brett, I know you don’t like birds but it was hurt—” It! When did she become an inanimate object? “—I couldn’t just leave it for dead.” The man tunneled his fingers through his brown hair and darted a glance at her.
The cougar growled and then shifted. Ah, now the odd conversation made sense. The cougar was a shifter, too. Before her stood a very naked, very muscular, and blond specimen of manhood. Dear heavens, how did a girl stumble on to two such hot men? Oh yes, she’d been flying along when a territorial hawk had dive bombed her and damaged a wing.
“Mark you know pets aren’t a good idea for me. I’m a predator and in cougar form that helpless bird looks like a nice snack. Take it somewhere and get it the hell out of here!” Brett, the golden one, practically growled the words.
Enough was enough. A girl could only take so many insults, and frankly the threat of becoming food wasn’t too appealing. She hopped onto the couch cushion drawing the gaze of the men and shifted. Two pairs of dark brown eyes pierced her as she stretched her legs and moaned. The shift cleared up her wing problem, but of course now she was stark naked and the center of attention.
“What the—” Mark blustered.
“Who the hell are you?” Brett demanded.
Goldie snagged a pillow and covered her pinkening body. It sucked to blush all over. “Goldie. Goldie Daniels. I was just about to shift when—Mark, I believe—grabbed me and carted me here.”
The two men moved in, towering over her. She should have been intimidated, but instead her pulse kicked up and for the love of God her pussy was getting wet. Where were some panties when a girl needed them?
“How’s your wing—uh, arm—feeling?” Brett reached down and ran a hand over her previously injured appendage. Thank goodness she had the pillow or he’d see her nipples puckering. Although, based on his rapidly hardening cock, he might not be opposed to knowing how he affected her.
“Fine, just a little sore. The shift took care of the damage.” She shifted her gaze to the floor but caught a glimpse of Mark’s obvious bulge. Shit, both of them? Hhhmmm…perhaps two wasn’t such a bad idea?
“Why didn’t you shift sooner?” Mark’s eyes darkened as he sat down next to her.
“That’s a stupid question.” Goldie snorted in punctuation.
“Don’t mind Mark. He’s just upset he didn’t get to see you alone.” Brett bestowed a wolfish smile on her. He reached out and pushed some of her hair from her face and sparks arced between them. Instant lust? Hell yeah.
“We both saw her at the same time Brett, you have no individual claim. Besides, we share everything. Always have and always will.” Mark gave his friend a long level look.
“True. And I can’t imagine not sharing her with you. Tell us Goldie, how do you feel about becoming the meat in a cougar-vampire sandwich?” Brett waggled his eyebrows and scrunched in next to her on the couch.
Wedged between the two sexy men it took her a moment to process his question. “Meat? Sandwich? Vampire! Oh!” Oh, yeah. She’d heard about vampires. Their endowments were legendary. Sometimes she really wished birds came with a better sense of smell. Her sight was amazing, but smell was a little questionable compared to other shifters. Still better than a human…but not like a cougar’s. Guess a vampire’s wasn’t all that and a bowl of chips too beyond scenting blood.
Brett tugged the pillow away from her. “Based on her scent and those deliciously puckered little nipples, I’d say she’s on board.”
She couldn’t find the words as her nerves choked off her air. She nodded. Then her vision was filled with pale skin and big brown eyes. Mark’s tongue delved past her lips to skate over her tongue as Brett knelt between her thighs and wedged his shoulders in. He lapped at her pussy letting Mark explore her mouth. Within a few swipes of Brett’s tongue Goldie’s body exploded in orgasm. If his tongue was any guide, his cock was going to stuff her full.
Brett pulled back from her and smiled. “Damn, Mark. Wait until you lap at that sweet parrot pussy. She tastes like tropical fruit. I swear you’ll never want to let her go.”
“I’m already thinking about clipping her wings. Let’s make the caged bird sing.” Mark chuckled and leaned down to capture a nipple in his warm mouth.
Goldie gasped and arched into his wet heat. She was caught between a vampire and a cougar, and couldn’t think of a better place to be. Lust at first sight? Oh yeah. Love at first lick? It sure seemed that way. Maybe the first bite would seal the deal?
Sometimes fate could be a real bitch, but today they were besties.
Ha! Now that you’ve read that, let’s talk about my real romances. I have the first two novellas in a three story historical series out now. The third book will be out later this year. The Market Series takes place in a Victorian London brothel and is three separate but connected stories. Check out the blurbs below and maybe check out the first two books.
Lady Katherine Drummond plays by society’s rules, even after the Ton turns on her. Shunned by her peers, she keeps up appearances by day but allows her true self out in the privacy of The Market. There, in the arms of one man, she comes alive. So much so, she signs a contract to be his for six months. Despite never having seen his face and knowing him only as Sir, she fears losing her heart to the man who breaks through her defenses.
Lord Raymond Tarkenton, the Earl of Heathington, despises being one of the most sought after bachelors of the Ton. He could never ask a woman of his circle to submit to his sexual needs, and a mistress would never be an option. For now, one masked woman at The Market holds his undivided attention. When he realizes that his masked lover and Lady Katherine Drummond are one and the same, he must find a way to convince her that they are bound together by more than the straps at her wrists and the contract they signed. He must reveal himself and his love to her. But will she accept him for more than a sexual escape?
Brennan Whitling wants for nothing but the love of a good woman. He has a close family, good friends, and a successful textiles import business. But, a beautiful and elusive young woman he has only seen from afar haunts him. Until a chance meeting leads to far more than dinner.
Serena Freemont has only ever known the life of a prostitute. When an invitation to dinner by a handsome gentleman provides her an opportunity to experience life as a young lady, it’s too tempting to pass up. Much like the man issuing it. After a night of passion she must disappear or face his reaction when the truth is revealed.
To find happiness Serena must shed her past long enough to realize she is worthy of a future. To win her heart, Brennan must show her the redemptive power of love.
Owner of one of the most successful brothels in London, Madame Marie Marchander has seen and done it all. Jaded by the hand life dealt her, she gave up on love the night her virginity was auctioned off twenty years earlier.. But then the boy, now a man, she once loved walks in to her establishment.
Jonathan Pierce, Baron Heartfield, had waited too long to save the woman he loved. A man no longer bound by the vows taken as a boy and under the influence of his father, he is determined to woo and win the heart of the only woman he ever loved. The fact she was forced in to prostitution is of little consequence beyond the guilt he bears for not interceding with her father.
Resolved to prove to Jonathan that she is not in need of saving, nor is she an appropriate wife, Marie agrees to take him as a lover for six months. Steadfast in his love, he launches an assault on her heart with all the strategy his years in the military afford him. His only goal, to reclaim her love.

Sorcha – way to take the prompt and run with it! I think I shoulda thrown in more just to make it a challenge for you. ;D Love that our heroine is a parrot shifter – now if she’s ever flaky, she can just blame her bird brain. Heh.
