Hi friends! So we’re back again with a list of everything I read in February! And some of the Review Crew’s read books or recommendations! Some of the books are/will be reviewed… Most will not. I’m just not built that way anymore. I do leave pseudo review/streams of consciousness over at Goodreads if you ever have the burning desire to understand the further ramblings of my brain. I’ll try to get the Review Crew members to write reviews to go live at ALBTALBS. 😉
As you see, this time I got the review crew in on it! I asked members of the review crew to send me a comprehensive list, or the books that they felt the most strongly about – either love or hate. (Of course they went positive. :P)

So now, posted in the order I received their emails…
Fedora: One of my favorite February reads were Susan Andersen’s Sisterhood Diaries trilogy (Cutting Loose, Bending the Rules, Playing Dirty) — I’d read book 3 first by accident (Playing Dirty –– it’s basically a second-chance story, where the main characters have quite a lot of history, and he’s got quite a huge something to grovel for), and really enjoyed it. But my favorite of the trio ended up being book 2, Bending the Rules. I just found the hero, Detective Jason de Sanges, irresistible. He’s got this terrible family history that he’s trying to overcome by being a stickler for the rules. The heroine is a sunny spirit who manages to stay real enough not to cross into Pollyanna-ish territory for me, and is just the temptation he can’t resist to unbend just a little… The two of them clicked well for me, and I flew through that one with happy sighs at the end. Trilogy Grade: B+

Hits:
Catch Me If You Can (Romantic Suspense) – Christina Jones Grade: A
Didn’t Mean to Love You (Romance) – Christina C. Jones Grade: A
Fall in Love Again (Romance) – Christina C. Jones (I’m catching up on my CCJones… she has a backlist that I am swimming through! Thoroughly enjoying her!) Grade: A
The Preacher’s Promise (Historical Fiction/Historical Romance) – Piper Huguley (Another author I discovered via twitter. This series is AHMAZING and awesome. LOVING IT) Grade: A
The Secrets of Midwives (Contemporary Women’s fiction) – Sally Hepworth (I’ve been into midwife books lately? I dunno. I read this one for NetGalley and it was pretty good). Grade: B
Misses:
Cheaters (Contemporary fiction/ romance)- Eric Jerome Dickey (I hadn’t read this and the gals at BetterThanTheMovie.com did their first podcast on EJD. They picked this book to read and see if it held up from the 90’s and………no it did not! LOL) Grade: C
Three Twisted Stories (Thiller, Short stories)- Karin Slaughter (I really don’t like short stories but I love Karin Slaughter so I struggled through. Different from her normal writing… really OUT THERE.) Grade: D
The Reluctant Midwife (Contemporary Women’s fiction) – Patricia Herman (another read for NetGalley. Was just OKAY). Grade: C
As always, each title has a link to Amazon, if you would like to buy it. (And thus also help out ALBTALBS by throwing us a few pennies.) 😉 I’ve also noted the books that are free, or $0.99 cents, because I know sometimes people are just interested in picking those up. Based on this month I think you also get an idea as to who the “nicer” reviewers are. (*coughs* anyone but me?) 😀
So what have you all been reading? Any of these titles? Any suggestions?
most of what I’ve read lately is a for a specific street team.
