Hi friends! The birthday approaches!!! … I wish I had a week to just sleep. Instead I’m reading like crazy and only getting two hours of sleep a night and stumbling around which we all know is especially not great for me right now. XD
So – I hope I get this all right! This giveaway will have two – count them TWO winners, who will each win nine books. … I know. It’s fucking crazy – and AWESOME!!!
What, Lime, are the books you ask? Well. Let me tell you!!! You’ll be getting sets of print books from Ilona Andrews, Lisa Kleypas, and Sarah MacLean.
And yo O_O SOME OF THESE BOOKS AREN’T OUT YET!!!! AHHHH!!!!
*Pst the kindle version of Burn For Me is currently on sale for $2.99
Wildfire will be out July 25, 2017, but you could get it early!
You guys! The Day of the Duchess is out today! So! Also, happy release day to Sarah MacLean! 🙂
How do you win? Two options. A) Tell me something fun or interesting about birthdays. A favorite birthday memory, present, whatever. B) Tell me your favorite Avon author or book! Both! 😀
I’ll keep this giveaway open until July 5th, and will name the two winners in the comments, so remember to check back to see if you won! (I will not be reaching out to the winners. I think we all know I’m not organized enough for that.) And while you’re here, please check out all the other wonderful birthday giveaways!!
Birthday wishes coming your way Lime! I read too many Avon books to name one favorite, but I can say that my most recent 5 star read from them was Lady Claire is All That by Maya Rodale.
Something fun about birthdays? I guess just having one every year is fun! It sure beats the alternative. 😉 Really though, I’m thankful I have awesome friends that make sure my day shines.
Favorite Avon author…that’s just so hard, there isn’t just ONE. 🙂 I will say that the best book I recently read was Sarah MacLean’s most recent book, THE DAY OF THE DUCHESS.
Lisa Kleypas was one of the first romance authors I read – my high school librarians had a “honor section” where we could borrow romance novels that weren’t in the library database. That’s how I fell in love with historical romances!
Something about birthdays – it’s nowhere near mine, but I recently had a dream that a high school friend threw me a birthday party…in the food court of the mall near where I grew up. I guess I’m having all the high school flashbacks these days.
My fave birthday present was my Kindle! Thanks for the chance to win such an awesome prize!
My favorite Avon romance is either 1) A Rogue Not Taken by Sarah Maclean or 2) Burn for Me by Ilona Andrews. So this giveaway is perfect for me!
For one of my friend’s birthdays we ambushed her with pie and whipped cream. It was a very sticky birthday. 😀
My sister always bakes me a cake every birthday!
I find it interesting that some people give themselves a birthday party, make the cake, etc., instead of someone else give them the birthday party. I have never given myself a birthday party 🙂
My birthday is on Pi Day so every year I either buy or make a pie instead of birthday cake. Everything is better with pie!
I have too many favorite Avon authors to just choose one, but Lisa Kleypas has a special place in my heart. Back in the days when everyone was in AIM, I would chat with Lisa. She even offered to read the first few pages of a book I was writing at the time. She didn’t know me, but she took the time to interact with a fan and to talk writing with a virtual stranger. I’ve been a loyal reader ever since.
One special birthday memory for me was when I became a naturalized citizen on my birthday. Also, my favorite Avon author is Tessa Dare!
On my birthdays I like to buy flowers for myself and visit the local arboretum and read books
The funnest thing about my birthday is that I share it with my Dad! We always joke that it’s the one birthday that neither one of us can forget. This year, I’m really looking forward to it because it’s the day that Wildfire releases. My plan for the day is pretty much to curl up with my Kindle and read it. However, I’d be absolutely thrilled to win a copy earlier.
As for my favorite Avon author, it’s definitely Ilona Andrews, although there are plenty of others that I like.
Sarah MacLean is my favorite Avon author!
denise
My favorite Avon author is either Julie Anne Long or Eloisa James.
Ooohh what a fabulous giveaway! I adore Sarah Maclean and Eloisa James and Tessa Dare! As for birthdays… mine is on the Fourth of July so there are always fireworks!
What a lovely selection of books to celebrate with! Some favorite Avon authors for me are Loretta Chase, Jennifer Bernard, and of course, Lisa Kleypas and Julia Quinn…
Hoping you’re finding ways to celebrate yourself this month because you are indeed quite fabulous, and may each year give you more reasons to believe that truth, Limecello!
My favorite birthday memory has to be the time I went on a cruise! 😉 There’s nothing better than drinking a martini and soaking the sun’s rays.
Happy belated birthday, Lime!
My favorite Avon author is Lisa Kleypas!!! <3
(Don't enter me in this giveaway though, thank you!)
It’s sooo hard to pick a favorite Avon author. I can easily pick a favorite birthday memory, though—the year, hubby proposed to me on my birthday! It was around Thanksgiving so we were at his childhood home, in his old room even, and he got down on one knee under the pretense of getting g my birthday gift from under the bed! I had NO.CLUE!
Happy belated birthday, Lime!!! Hope this year is a zillion times better than the last one! ❤️
An interesting birthday tidbit? My Mother-in-law and I have the same birthday and she turned 40 the day I turned 21. I can usually come up with her age more quickly than my husband (her son) can!
I was just thinking of you this afternoon, hoping that you’re recovering from your surgery.
And Happy Birthday! I always share one with my sister – we’re twins. So there’s always one person who remembers to call me for my birthday 😉
As for my favorite Avon author, it’s definitely Ilona Andrews. I try to schedule a day off for the day any new book of theirs comes out – otherwise I stay up until 1 or 2 in the morning.
Best of everything and I hope that this year brings you only good things.
My favorite birthday memory is every year for each of my 3 boys birthdays, it’s all about them. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert, and all activities are all their choosing.
My weirdest birthday memory is when I was 5, my mom told me that my birthday was really a day to celebrate her. If she hasn’t given birth to me I’d never be alive and that I should really give her appreciation gifts on my birthday. It takes all kinds.
Happy Birthday, Lime!
I have spent way too much time overthinking my faves. Tessa Dare is another awesome Avon author. Kleypas, Andrews, and Maclean are also faves. And choosing a favourite book? I’m going to go with Kleypas because I’ve been reading hers the longest and I think the Avon book I’ve re-read the most is actually Devil in Winter. Might be Loretta Chase’s Lord of Scoundrels.
One of my favorite birthday memories is from when I was little. Around the time of my birthday each year, there is a book festival in my hometown. One year, when I was probably turning 6 or 7, the author of some of my favorite series came to town and autographed my copies!
As for Avon authors, I like Ilona Andrews a lot.
I think my favorite birthday present happened when I turned 17. My mom would usually give me a small gift included in my lunch box if my birthday was on a school day. While I had my license for a while, I certainly didn’t have my own car and wasn’t allowed to drive to school. I literally had to borrow the keys to the car if I wanted to drive.
My lunch bag had a small box that looked like it would contain jewelry, but inside was a set of my own keys to the car (on a key ring I’d bought on a family vacation that summer). There was also a note that the car would be parked in the senior lot and I had permission to take my four best girlfriends to a local pizza place after school. When we got there, my mom had left balloons, table decorations, and paid for everything in advance. We laughed and had a wonderful time as only teenage girls can.
So many kids are gifted with cars for their 16th birthdays, but I was just amazingly happy to get my own set of keys for the family car. It was a really wonderful surprise and an awesome memory.
My favorite Avon author is Loretta Chase. Old school, I know, but I cut my teeth on those Regency romances.
