Hi friends! So, as you see, ALBTALBS turned 7! No real giveaways or other celebratory things planned for now. … If you’re a regular reader, you’ll know my “try too hard” … died? (A while ago…) Also I’ve had … you know… *gestures expansively* a lot going on. And because this is a question I see still … “What is ALBTALBS?” … ALBTALBS = A Little Bit Tart, A Little Bit Sweet. The name of this site. 😀
I’m really trying to bring ALBTALBS back though, with more regular posting, and I’ve got an awesome review crew and help and just, major shout out to N.R., Babs, Karen, Aidee, and Mary. [We may not be the most prolific, but we are stalwart!]
So anyway, for now, the most celebratory thing I’m doing is offering a month of ad space for $7. This will be the lowest price offered, and is good through January 15th. (Normally ad spots are $15/month.) If you’re interested, please let me know. Space is limited.
And a big shout out to the ALBTALBS friends/sponsors of January ’18! Tina Leonard, Nicole Morgan, and Cynthia Sax. <3
Some secrets just can’t be kept.
Dr. Kayla Wright has lived on the outside of Star Canyon’s social circles for years, unlike her vivacious sister, Jenny—yet Kayla’s always been drawn to handsome and sexy Romero Dark. But Kayla knows that her attraction to Romero can never mean anything, not with her reputation in Star Canyon—and especially not with her knowing an explosive secret about the Dark family’s father, the beloved Captain Dark, who died mysteriously in a warehouse fire the year prior.
But when the passion between Kayla and Romero bursts into flame, Kayla knows she’s done the unthinkable. She can’t stop herself from being near Romero, yet she knows it’s not possible for her to devote herself to him under these circumstances. Will Kayla stay quiet about Captain Dark, or risk losing Romero’s love forever when she tells him the real story about a night Star Canyon has never forgotten?

RJ Hancock had been working undercover for over three years. On paper, and as far as America knew, he was a deserter, a soldier who went AWOL and abandoned his country and unit. There were only a few people in the Pentagon who knew the truth.
Monica Tovar spent her days doing what she was told. That was the way things were done in her family. The men led, while the women followed. It was a pattern that she was growing increasingly tired of.
After years of living on the wrong side of the law, RJ is finally close to completing his mission. But, when Monica comes in the picture he is forced to rethink his priorities. And the lines between duty and honor will be tested.

The Bigger They Are, The Harder They Fall.
Balvan, the Refuge’s Gatekeeper, is huge, green, and has a reputation for crushing skulls. He’s a modified humanoid, genetically designed to be the ultimate warrior. One of a kind and considered monstrous by many, he never expects to find his mate, the one female meant for him.Elyce, snatched from her home half a solar cycle ago, has finally escaped her brutal captors. She arrives at the Refuge barely alive. Only a blood transfusion from the largest male she has ever seen will save her life. But it will also bind her to him forever. Staring up, up, up at him, she wonders why she wants to be free. His gentle touch revives yearnings she thought dead. His lips set her skin ablaze. His massive muscles make her feel safe.
That feeling could be an illusion. Elyce’s captors want their slave back and they won’t stop until they have her. To give his mate her freedom, Balvan might be forced to give up everything he has – his role as the Gatekeeper, Elyce’s love, and his life.
