Hi friends! I think it’s pretty clear we’re uh … >.> pretty chill here at ALBTALBS (A Little Bit Tart, A Little Bit Sweet). Also that blogging has become largely dictated by various aspects of my health. I’m a bit mixed because I feel like I should apologize, but also that I absolutely should not because you know. Medical issues. A) It’s absolutely not something I can control, and obviously if I could I wouldn’t be in the boat I am now. Which speaking of boats, perhaps someone should send one because holy cow all the rain of late.
ANYWAY. That’s the vague update on the “state of things” currently. Now let’s get to the fun stuff which is … books I’ve read from January-June 2018. I’ve already posted Aidee and Babs‘ lists, which you should definitely check out. They had some overlap.
I haven’t been reading as much this year – but it’s been picking up some, and I always hope to read more. So here we go! This list also isn’t set in stone – it’s what I have documented which may be hit or miss.

*The asterisk means the book is a re-read for me. 🙂 Have you read any of those books? What’d you think?
And if you’re interested, I did a whole thread of current kindle freebies I thought people might be interested in, so you can check that out here.
And another freebie because why not. I haven’t read these books, but the cover looks cool – and three books in one go is a good deal!
And as always, if you’ve got any recs for me, I’d love to hear them! I’m always in the market for adult high fantasy romances – and have a few ARCs of upcoming ones in my TBR. 😀
I have Hello Stranger, actually, I have 2 copies. I need to read one and give one to a friend.
denise
Oh definitely let me know what you think Denise. 🙂 I liked it, but I didn’t LOVE it like I did Devil in Spring. If they’re both final copies, fine – but if one is an ARC, give that away. I’m saying that because the final copy has an excerpt of The Devil’s Daughter and … 😀 I loved it. I have such high hopes for that book!
I’m pretty sure both are final copies–I’ll check. Thanks for the heads-up. I think one is autographed.
I checked both copies, and they both have the excerpt for THE DEVILS’S DAUGHTER. The signed one came with a whistle.
Wow, great job! I have nothing unfortunately to reccomend. But there’s a lot of C’s on the list….. hmmmmmm LOL
Hey Ki! Nice to “see” you! 😀
For me, a “C” is a good book. I liked it. I might re-read it. It wasn’t great, it wasn’t bad. It was average – so … C. (I fully acknowledge I probably grade “harder” than your average romance reading bear. Well, that’s disingenuous. I know I do. There are people who hand out As like Halloween candy. And that’s fine – but I don’t think EVERY book I read is “THE BEST BOOK EVERRRR!!!” … and some people do. The “D” books I’d [even] recommend to people who like the author, or the trope, etc. The “B” books are ones I’d strongly recommend, and “A” books for me are “OMFG YOU NEED TO READ THIS READ IT RIGHT NAOW AND YOUR MOM AND SISTER AND UNCLE AND COUSIN AND EVERYONE NEEDS TO READ IT! YOU EVEN NEED TO READ IT TO YOUR DOG/CAT!” … basically. 😛 Although I also will say some “A” books for me are nostalgia, and the fact that I might re-read selectively. Certain books I’ve stopped reading cover to cover, e.g. Lover Eternal I only read the Rhage/Mary parts. And Sugar Daddy by Lisa Kleypas, I skip everything up until Liberty has moved into the Travis mansion. 😀
