ALBTALBS Shout Outs and Sponsors From 2018

Hi friends! Every so often I offer ad space at ALBTALBS. Really it’s supposed to be $15/month (for a static image), but I don’t make a big deal about it. If someone purchases ad space generally I do a highlight post on it as well – if you’re a longtime reader you may have a vague recollection of this. Every so often I’ll offer monthly ad space at a discount. Ads are never enough to cover costs, but it’s definitely better than nothing. This all comes to mind for a number of reasons. First of all … blog fees are due soon, and if I want to keep ALBTALBS, it’s hundreds of dollars. Considering I had to set up a Go Fund Me for medical expenses … yeah.

Even without the major surgeries etc … in an attempt to help with the costs it’s why I set up a Ko-Fi too, a year or two ago.
Buy Me a Coffee at ko-fi.com

Anyway! How the ads work is I put them as a widget in the sidebar, so ad blockers won’t remove them, and also so they’ll show on every page – the main one and specific posts. Please let me know if you’d like to be an ALBTALBS sponsor!

So … here are the ALBTALBS sponsors (people who paid for ads) from 2018 … and two shout outs which I’ll explain. (For the 2018 authors I went with their latest release that I could find.) That’s generally what I do too if someone doesn’t remember to let me know what image they want to run but have paid. Continue reading

Shout out to February ALBTALBS Sponsors!

Hi friends! I don’t talk about it much, but there are costs to running a blog, and I try to offset the monetary loss by offering advertising spots! It’s not something I do aggressively, but I’m always happy to have sponsors. I’ve also taken to highlighting them because well, it’s a win-win, right? Recently I also had someone who bought ad spots as gifts for friends, and I thought that was super cool too. Just something for you to keep in mind. 😉
And who doesn’t like to hear more about books? Continue reading

ALBTALBS Celebrates Our 7th Blogiversary with a $7 Ad Spot Sale

Hi friends! So, as you see, ALBTALBS turned 7! No real giveaways or other celebratory things planned for now. … If you’re a regular reader, you’ll know my “try too hard” … died? (A while ago…) Also I’ve had … you know… *gestures expansively* a lot going on. And because this is a question I see still … “What is ALBTALBS?” … ALBTALBS = A Little Bit Tart, A Little Bit Sweet. The name of this site. 😀

I’m really trying to bring ALBTALBS back though, with more regular posting, and I’ve got an awesome review crew and help and just, major shout out to N.R., Babs, Karen, Aidee, and Mary. [We may not be the most prolific, but we are stalwart!]

So anyway, for now, the most celebratory thing I’m doing is offering a month of ad space for $7. This will be the lowest price offered, and is good through January 15th. (Normally ad spots are $15/month.) If you’re interested, please let me know. Space is limited. Continue reading

A Heartfelt Thank You to December Sponsors and a Giveaway

I wasn’t actually going to do this… but then I figured – oh why not? I did for previous months, and the book covers here are very pretty. Plus it’s the holidays, you know? So, here’s a feature for our lovely December friends, who help fund giveaways, inadvertently. 😉

Once a notorious rake, Camden Folk, Marquis of Warbury, is now consumed by desire for only one woman: beautiful young widow Frances Burdett. And the Yuletide festivities at his country estate present the perfect opportunity for seduction…

After her brief and unsatisfying marriage, Frances Burdett swore never to become tied to another man. Then a passionate kiss under the mistletoe reawakens longings she thought buried forever. But can she give in to the pleasures of the body with a rogue like Cam—without losing her heart?

Christmas Park is stuck in Seoul for the holidays when she should be flying home to Florida. Her parents break tradition and book a Carribean cruise, leaving her to seek a new holiday tradition. It’s Christmas Eve and “Rissa” finds herself in the spotlight—literally! Her plans to enjoy an uneventful, low-key night at the after-hours soju bar turns into a scheme for her co-workers to win the grand prize in a single’s kissing contest.

Nothing goes according to plan when Rissa is whisked away by the city’s notorious bad boy, Min Yoo, on an adventurous night around town. What they hadn’t expected was falling for the magic of the holidays—and each other—which all started with just a single kiss.

Warrior, bastard, outcast, traitor to his kind, these are all labels Lazar has worn for the past several years, since he took a stand against the actions of a mad king. He’s defended the Kingdom of the Hawks even though the blood of the Falcons runs through his veins. He’s bedded their women, drank their mead and protected their king. None of that makes him one of them. An empty pit has been in his stomach for years, believing his true mate perished long ago. When he learns she’s alive, he has to not only win her over, but also make her understand men who can shift into birds aren’t the things of nightmares. They’re real, and he’s one of them.

Sabrina lives a relatively sheltered life. Her overprotective uncle means well but can sometimes go too far. When he shows up with a sexy hunk she’s dreamed about, it’s all Sabrina can do to control her emotions. As old lies are uncovered, she has to decide if she should open her heart to a man who has made using women an art form and who also happens to have wings. Plus, he’s more than just any old shifter male. He’s the rightful king of the Falco, and it’s time he rose to his position and accepted his destiny, even if that destiny includes her.

WARNING: This book contains hot, explicit sex and violence, a dominant, alpha, bird-shifting male who has the rules of seduction memorized and who finally understands he has to take a stand for what he wants. It has a heroine who, while young, knows she won’t settle for anything less than she deserves and who finds herself being taught things that make her blush.

Speaking of a giveaway… Barbara Monajem has been a lovely mainstay at ALBTALBS, and I’d like to say thank you to her. And to share the love, so one lucky commenter will win her (or his!) choice of a kindle copy of one of Barbara’s Harlequin [Historical] Undone(s). What a mouthful, yes?

And, if you want more giveaways, check out the numerous ones here, for the charity water post. Give it a minute – there are so many prize widgets it takes some time to load.

My question to you is – have you ever checked out any of the books featured in the ads? Ever buy one? What’d you think? Or what do you think of the ads in general?

And, if that doesn’t interest you at all… how is all your holiday planning and shopping going?

Lastly – unrelatedly, and yes I’m making up words and in a big hurry – would you check “backdated” posts? There are some things I’d like to say, and I think I might use them to fill in spots that weren’t blogged. Like all that time I was absent in August etc, because I was spending all my time in the hospital. Would any of you see them? Or should I just not do that?

Xoxo to you all! <3

A Huge Thank you to ALBTALBS Spectacular September Sponsors

Hi friends! Thank you so much for not abandoning me! And the same to Barbara Monajem, Vanessa Kelly, and Kaily Hart too.

As you know, I’ve had a lot going on. There’s this term – maximum benefit – that basically means all the resources are used up. I equate that to my life recently. And also that I’m maxed out (in a not good way) on other things. Like… doctors and hospitals. But I don’t really want to talk about that now. I want to point out the beautiful book covers/ads that are in the sidebar this month, and to assure you all that I’m trying. I hope to get things posted, and back to running some what regularly.

And as usual, there are still open spots – especially as I’m looking to 2013, so if you or anyone is interested, please let me know!

Thank you all!

Thank You to Barbara Monajem, V.K. Sykes, and Amber Lin

Why? Because they’re the July ALBTALBS sponsors! (They were also the sponsors in June, which was a total shitshow, so that’s why I didn’t get a chance to write a similar post. My apologies!) Anyway… So much love to these authors!

I’ve got one spot open for August, and so on, so if anyone is interested, or knows someone who would be, please contact me! Thanks so much! (This means a better, faster blog as soon as I get the site move, and also, even more and better prizes and contests!)
