Winners and June in Review

Hi friends! A day late but no dollars short because giveaway winners are being announced!!!

Also, if you’re a stranger to ALBTALBS, personally, I’ve had a lot going on and am currently in PT and I might not always be 100% timely. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

For the author post giveaways … I’m going to defer to them to pick winners unless/until I hear otherwise … so yes I’ll be reaching out to them and maybe you’ll want to check this space [this specific post] for any changes.

So you know, these are all the birthday posts, and if authors haven’t posted winners yet maybe you can still comment and win. 😉 Continue reading

Don’t Faint! I’m Announcing Winners!

Hello Ladies! (No seriously, is there any dude who reads ALBTALBS? If yes, speak please, so I can figure out a proper/most awesome form of address.) This is a winner’s post! No lie. I’m starting with 2015… so … sorry if I missed things. If I did, feel free to let me know. I’m just not up to checking. Going back into 2014 for various reasons will make me want to kill myself. >.> … Probably. But it’s not a theory I’m willing to test. Especially since today has been … off. And to be honest I’m kinda impressed with myself that I’ve even been posting at least every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday so far this year. Let’s all keep our expectations for me low, shall we? (No really, please do that.)

So whatever. Whine whine whine, amirite? I also still need to write An Explanations to Heritage Posts … probably. >.> Right? Cuz everyone’s all WE NEED DIVERSITY AND DIVERSE BOOKS IN ROMANCE! And then … >.> Continue reading

Some Fun + Some Winners

*N.B. Well, I’ve had my first(?) publishing hiccup. Because everything is going to crap – I was starting out bitching then wanted to delete and my browser crashed and it decided to publish the post. O_o Which… NOT GOOD. Ahem. Now that I got that off my chest…

I know I’m starting to channel a broken record (and have I mentioned how much I love all you guys cuz you all actually know what that is?) – but I really hoped this wouldn’t happen again. And still hope it won’t. But, we’re doing this. Full disclaimer, this time I didn’t contact all the authors beforehand to see if they’d still honor the giveaways, because I felt rather confident they would. *knocks on wood*

If they don’t … well … please accept my heartfelt apologies. I’d like to offer some sort of other remedy that holds monetary value, but frankly I don’t know if I personally will be able to swing it.

Er, first, I’m pretty sure I eliminated all posts where authors already chose their winners. If not, I’m sorry. Please feel free to send me an angry email. (And honestly take advantage of it, because this is like the only time I’ll give you a pass. XD)

So anyway, here we go.

Cathy Maxwell‘s assistant wrote a post and offered a giveaway, and the winner is Maria.

Cathy Pegau visited and her winner is Mary.

Kate Meader talked about her foodie romance, and here, I have to say I can’t promise this prize because Kate offered an exclusive ALBTALBS prize pack… but I’m hoping she held on to it… keep your fingers crossed … June M.!

ALBTALBS friend and regular Theresa Romain was here and conniefischer wins the prize.

Katy Madison (who started out as Karen L. King) was our GA&AG – and I’m pretty sure sharonchalk  is a first time winner here! Whee! [This was June. Birthday month! So many more giveaways!]

Ruthie Knox shared an exclusive excerpt Miss Bates wins. (Another first timer!)

You guys, I got to meet Cynthia Eden in ATL and she is delightful. She is just the cutest little thing and I love her. And hate her. Because she’s so darn perfect. mathlady68 you win, you lucky duck.

Lisa Renee Jones also shared an exclusive excerpt as part of my Birthday Bash and how fun! Randomizer.org chose Lisa!

We then had birthday girl Jill Sorenson who is also a June Baby and TrishJ wins!

Ruthie Knox just couldn’t stay away, and yes she was back again 😉 but this time her winner is Mary Preston. (You know, a lot of these contest have 16 entries, which saved me work with the randomizer generator).

Valerie Bowman shares my birthday. (Yes, it’s my birthday :P) and ki pha you win!

Beverley Kendall was our July author GA&AG guest (haha I couldn’t help but laugh. I’m sorry, I’m laughing with you not at you) Blue Peanuts wins.

Amanda Usen visited and talked about making lists, which is probably something I should do. >.> Other than it’d just be one more thing for me to do… denise, randomizer.org chose you! Just like Pikachu! … Only not.

Kat Latham provided an exclusive excerpt in longstanding ALBTALBS style, and this time, later was better! JenM you win!

I put Courtney Milan to work on her birthday so *I* decided to give away one of her books. (Also :X I might have felt obligated to her because I often send her all the upsetting things. XD) So. melanie wins.

I finally got Holly to visit us and on her birthday so Aliquis cashes in on that. Literally.

Amber Polo posted an exclusive excerpt and 😀 I have to tell you, randomizer.org first chose Amber. But flchen1 wins. 🙂

J. Kenner was here and TinaB wins. => Just to check if any of you guys are reading… ALBTALBS got hit by some troll “Sarah” or whatever, and don’t worry, obviously that wasn’t counted as an entry for contests.

We’re in to August! Katharine Ashe was our GA&AG friend and Sebella Blue (@blueshedevil32) wins.

The incredible, the one, the only, the Empress of Erotica 😉 Megan Hart offered not only an exclusive excerpt, but also a giveaway of the shiny new Stranger and beth myers wins!

I got Sue Grimshaw to come and visit us on her birthday as well. (You see how I like birthdays? ;)) She very kindly said there would be FIVE winners – so they are maw25, Jane, bn100, Melody May, and Mary Preston.

Janelle Denison also visited us on her birthday and provided an exclusive excerpt of her Erika Wilde book. This wasn’t as much time as usual, but that’s ok. Her winner is Heather!

And last but definitely not least is PJ Schnyder. Diane P. Diamond, you win!

Whew! I emailed everyone with the address they used to enter (on the form) … so hopefully everyone used a valid one and not a crap contest one. 😉 [I’m pretty sure I didn’t forget anyone :X] Winners, just do what it says in the email. Cheers! I won’t even ignore if you if you don’t call me Limecello in the winner’s email. >.> This time… Heh. *angelface*

If you won this time, thank the randomizer.org gods. If you didn’t win… make sacrifices to the randomizer.org gods 😉 And… if you didn’t win anything, don’t despair. This video is winnings enough. Amirite? 😛

A hint, the video title is “Porn Sex vs Real Sex: The Differences Explained With Food ”

Winners

I know. I’ve been bad. Things have been bad. And good. And then just burn out and anyway, here are winners, and I hope to change things up and that this will never happen again. The “this” I refer to being me sucking so hard.

However, I’m going to suck some, and you’ll have to deal with it, because hopefully my positives make up for it!

Anyway, I’m emailing all of February’s winners. Because I said I would. And I waffled on March, but you know what? I just don’t want to. I’ve said from the start I have a policy of not emailing winners – and I offer multiple ways to subscribe, or find out what’s going on here. So, you know. Fair warned is fair armed?

Here are all the lucky people that I’m jealous of, because you’ll notice that *I* never get to win! 😉

Melonie Johnson wins Sarah M. Anderson’s prize.
For Jennifer Haymore’s visit, her winner is Nancy Bristow (who gets major bonus points for checking out the “About” page!) <3
We know Lorelie Brown always offers a prize, and her winner is ki pha.
Heather Kumar and Sandy Xiong win a Lords of Vice book from Alexandra Hawkins.
Jillian Stone and her character Cate Willoughby visited with us on Valentine’s Day! But ALBTALBS was part of a blog tour – so that’s taken care of. Phew.
Cathy Pegau has two winners, and they are flchen1 and JoAnne.
ChattyCharry wins from Eden Bradley’s excerpt of Forbidden Fruit.

And now to the winners who have to email me themselves. [Responsibility!]
Maisey Yates and Vivian Arend share the same birthday and they had a mini bash here. Timitra, mathlady68,  and CrystalGB are Maisey’s winners. The three winner’s of Viv’s prize are jovialvampyre, Stella (Ex Libris), and Rebe.
The wonderful Carolyn Jewel visited and joytoread wins three of Ms. Jewel’s books.
Tracy March was nice enough to offer a giveaway with her excerpt, Shannon wins the book and a lovely bracelet!
Wow – my scheduling O_o well Christi Barth was here too! And Mary Preston wins!
Diane Sallans and Diane P. Diamond win from Valerie Bowman.
Stephanie Tyler was generous and awesome enough to visit with us on her birthday! Patoct and Evelyn win!

And now we’re into April. So I’m doing good here!
Manda Collins was our special author of the month. Jeanne Miro wins 😀
Aliquis wins from R.E. Butler.
Ok, I totally stopped myself from being vulgar (I think? :X) the first time… but we popped Amara Royce’s blogging cherry here at ALBTALBS! 😉 JenB wins.
Marquita Valentine’s winners are thebookqueen and bn100.
Linda wins from Cathy Ivan.
Jeannie Lin is going to give rinib a prize!
J. Kenner came to talk about staycations, and Rosarita Reader wins.
Cris was very eager, and luckily wins from Elle Kennedy.
I had a silly contest, and TrishJ wins. It’s also over, but I wanted to “leave it open” just so people could see what I had put.
I ALSO some how convinced Carolyn Jewel to visit with us again! On her birthday! So she generously offered three books. Donna Worthington, Barbara E.,  and Sebella Blue win!

All May contests are still open – until I draw winners, so you might want to revisit them. 😀

Please use the contact form, and list what your prize is to make things easier. You have until June 15th to contact me. (I’m giving it more time than usual because I want people to have a chance to stop by and see if they’ve won. However, anything after the 15th I reserve the right to ignore. I also reserve the right to ignore your email if you don’t say what your prize is. Because… you know, I don’t think it’s that difficult. I’d also really appreciate if you helped me out and included a mailing address if your prize is a print book – though honestly that’s better for you because you have a faster chance of getting your prize. :D)

And since I’m a total soft touch? Every author of the month from March through June – I’ll take entries until the end of June.

Remember, for any March or April winner, you have until 11:59 PM EDT to contact me to win your prize! Send your info, and what your prize is. Thanks!

Winners Like Never Before. Winners like NEVER Again.

I have been incredibly remiss in announcing winners. I apologize. I really am sorry. I never planned for it to happen, and never wanted it to. In August I spend most of my time at the hospital, and then I tried to catch up, then people kept dying – or being diagnosed with cancer. And then I was sick. So sick, for so long. I think I have mono. That’s not good.

So, with my sincere apologies, here are all the winners. I’m just going to list them all. You’ll have to forgive me.

I do want to let you know that I emailed everyone through February winner wise. I have said previously this is NOT ALBTALBS policy. But (shh – and don’t tell anyone!) I’m a soft touch. So I wanted to give people a chance. More details were of course provided to the winners.

This is a one off though – in the future, I do not plan to email winners. Even if I’m a month or two (or three+) late in announcing winners. I just can’t handle it. Obviously, as you can all see. Soooo this is also proof that you should enter contest with a legitimate email address. 😀

And some authors did of course take the initiative and announce their own winners/get the information from me to contact them. (I didn’t list those – makes it easier.)

Winners: Melanie, Shay, Kimberley, Timitra, Susan, Mary, Kim, Sheila, JoAnne, Larri, Tia, Patricia, Jessica, Nicola, VanillaOrchids, Annwitch, Jeanne Miro, Kelly, Marcie, Kimberly, Tess, Kathleen, Cherie, Janie, Mary, Sonya, Melody, elaing8, Maureen, Sarah, Carol, mathlady68, carreifort29, pc, Jane, gamistress66, lsureader, Lynda, Sierra, Mary,  and Cris.

For now. That’s everyone through January. >.> From August. That hadn’t already been doled out their prize/chosen.

Come back ~tomorrow for February winners. Which… I guess I’ll email too. Maybe.

You know what’s sad? I had help with this. I had an AWESOME supah sekrit killah minion help with randomizer.org and winners and it was glorious. Even so I just spent the last three hours checking things and emailing winners and I think my eyes are about to bleed and I have to be at work in like six hours.

So. How are all of you?

What did you do for St. Patrick’s Day? (I, of course, was green. ;))

So Many Winners. Too Many Winners? ;X

I promised people I’d post this Saturday. We’ll just all have to play pretend. I had every intention to, bu then time got away and then it was after midnight and I’ve been sleep deprived and was up until ~3 anyway and now I just feel a little stabby.

So you know what would make this easy? I win everything!! That’s right, Limecello wins all the things!

😛 I wish.

So, here goes. I’m going to try to do this in order. You’ll have to forgive me if I don’t. As usual, courtesy of randomizer.org…

First, from way back on July 19, Leslie Kelly visited! [So hey – it’s been less than a month. YOU’RE WELCOME. I officially withdraw all sorts of apologies and regrets. :D] Her winners are Ellie Heller, Becky Ward, and Fedora!

Carolyn Jewel shared the entire second chapter of her upcoming book Not Proper Enough which will be one of the best books I read in 2012. Her winners are… Spaz, jeannemiro, and VanillaOrchids – you all are lucky! And… if you don’t like it, I don’t think we can be friends anymore. Just saying. 😉

Julie Anne Long was here with another fun author interview. Her winner is Jud!

We then had Lauren Dane sharing an excerpt of her upcoming duology – on my birthday! Her winner is Tina B!

Now… the Birthday Bash post, which kinda makes me want to cry. I didn’t want to respond to any of the comments, because I knew it’d make drawing names more difficult. Yeah, I’m a brat. :X HOWEVER I do totally appreciate all the comments and birthday wishes! Thank you, thank you, thank you!! So I guess your birthday present to me would’ve been being okay with me not responding individually. 😉

This… is going to take a while, so I hope you’re comfortable!

Roxanne St. Claire visited with us and answered some questions. Her winner is Cathy Phillips. (And Cathy – hang in there. *big hugs* our thoughts and prayers are with your husband and all of you.) And also… Linda. Whoever emails me first gets her choice. Obviously the second to email gets the other book. That’s fair, right?

The winner from Shelli Steven’s belated 4th of July post is Lynnette.

Last but not least, Samantha Kane was a guest and her winner is Mama Kitty.

Winners, you have until the end of Sunday, July 22nd to contact me. That’s 11:59 PM EDT. If necessary, please include your address. Some of you get your choice of a book. If so, remember to add that. If an ebook, please let me know your format of choice – you might not get it/it might not be available, but if it is, it saves a step. You’ll notice with every winner I’ve linked to the original post, so it’s a very easy click and check for you. Thanks for helping me out!

Also, if it’s been a reasonable period – like a month – and you haven’t gotten your prize yet, feel free to contact me and let me know. And… I can’t believe I have to say this but … if it’s only been a few days – chill okay? Nobody appreciates constant hounding. Least of all me. It makes me angry. And kinda hate you. And isn’t that a lovely note to end this all one?

Well whatever. There were ~54 winners listed in this post. I joked on twitter that I’m never having any more contests. Ever. 😀 [Some people took me seriously. O_o] So what do you guys think? 😉 Moratorium on giveaways?

Anyway – instructions summary.

If you won – include relevant information. Title of what you won. Address if necessary. If e-book, format of choice. Thanks! [For those of you who filled out the address form… if you did it properly, I’ve passed on the info. If not… well, you know the deal.]

Hope everyone had a nice and relaxing weekend!

Oops and Winners

So… I didn’t pick winners last week. I meant to but you know… life happened. I think I really am going to do a twice a month pick because… it’s really too much for me. Sorry guys – think I’m going to adjust the “FAQs/Contests” page to reflect that too. Thanks for understanding!

Although I wonder if anyone checks that… See how subscribing is good and pays off? Also because … today is Sundayaturday :X so you know, it kicks off MY BIRTHDAY WEEK. Did you know that commenting on posts gets you brownie points for winning prizes? Cuz… I figure if I can’t pick favorites on my birthday for winners, when can I?

Speaking of… there’s going to be some zonky stuff with the posts. I believe I’m going to re-post Keishon’s because she all of a sudden messaged me and was like “HOLY SHIT. EMAILING NOW.” And totally scared the crap out of me. So anyway, she sent a new post so … I guess that’s going up. Also, I just saw in the pending comments Carrie left one with links, so that will be added too. Good thing I looked!

Back to the business at hand. Winners. You know the deal – send me your relevant info via the contact form. Please include what is needed AS WELL AS the prize you won. Sorry you’re getting the brunt of it, but I’m sick of people not reading the things I say. When I ask for specifics, it’s important, because I rarely do it. And if I’m in a bad mood, I might just ignore your email. And we don’t want that, do we? [Actually, in the interest of honest disclosure, guilt will make me respond, but it sure as hell won’t be a priority.]

Some lucky reader commented when HelenKay Dimon shared an exclusive excerpt with us. Cathy P! You enjoy romantic suspense, and now you get to try another one!

Meljean Brook came and … well frankly I think it’s one of the best posts I’ve ever had at the blog. Those author interview answers? Yes. What everyone should aspire to! Her lucky lucky winner is… (and since it came up a lot – I do want to note, her books are not comedies. So… please don’t expect something all light hearted and laughter. Please let me know if that’s what you were expecting/want to pass on dark stories then.) … jeannemiro.

Beverley Kendall shared an exclusive excerpt of her newest book, and is giving away two copies! Her winners are Diane P. Diamond and also Barbara E.!

And you know what? The lastest posts… I’m going to leave open. Starting with Leslie Kelly’s. She’s giving away six copies, so come on. We can do better than 16 comments!

I feel like I might be missing some things, so if so, please let me know. As I’ve kinda mentioned – my life is in a bit of upheaval.

So winners –  please email me  and include A) what you won and B) the relevant information. [If print, your address. If electronic and you get a format choice, that. If you get a book choice? please tell me what you chose.]

Thanks! And, I really really really hope there’s a huge turnout for the massive birthday bash on Thursday. Tell your friends! Everyone wins! [… Except me. Somehow this is going down where you guys all get prizes. Maybe I’ll have to reconsider for next year. ;)]

Someone Wanna Volunteer to Pick Winners? ;D

Seriously though – that would be awesome. For winners to be picked, and the post to just magically appear. On time! Although the winner’s post is never at a set time…

Y’all know the drill. I think. Winners contact me here with the relevant prize info. Your address if needed, and what you won. If an ebook and you get the choice of format, that too. So… the relevant info. That makes it a lot easier for everyone, and more importantly, makes it so that you get your prize more quickly!

As usual… I try to post weekly, but it doesn’t always happen. I also announce if/when I know I won’t be able to. Still, I imagine subscribing, or making a note for yourself is the most effective way to guarantee you don’t miss a prize, because I will not email you. I just can’t handle it. Thanks for understanding!

All winners, you have until 11:59 PM EDT on Saturday, June 16 to claim your prize.

First up – Cynthia Eden was here and Heather McKenna wins an awesome prize!

Melissa Schroeder was here and offered prizes! R.E. Butler you get to choose print or e – so please be sure to include that.

Next, Jessica Jarman was here. She has two winners! Renee Brown and mary f! Can’t wait to hear from you.

Then, first in the Guest Author & A Giveaway bunch for special June birthday month?! Day Leclaire answered some questions for us. ;D And her winner is smartmouthtexan.

Stay turned for other winner announcements – and of course there are still giveaways open right now. Whee!

For everyone else – what’s new? How has your weekend been? And plans? Anything exciting to share – or something you’d like to vent about? I wanna hear it!

Winners, A Confession, & A Note

So… let’s start with the confession. You’ll notice I didn’t post winners last week. I knew I was supposed to, and I almost did, but then time got away from me and it was almost midnight and I decided … you know what? I don’t want to. That’s right. I had a mental tantrum. And today, I thought “I control this blog – this blog doesn’t control me!” Which… I guess isn’t fair for the people waiting on it, but you know what? They can check back. All of you lovely people do – and shouldn’t you be rewarded more?! I think so.

On that note … hm. I was going to say if a winner ever doesn’t contact me, feel free to nudge me to re-draw. But how would you know? I guess you could ask in the comments of the winner post if I’ve heard from everyone. That works for me. 😀

And the actual note – which is really an update – I’ll be out of town next weekend. I’m not certain as to internet access, or time and availability, so there probably won’t be a winners post on Saturday. Tell your friends. 😉

I’m actually considering announcing winners bi-monthly now. (That’s twice a month, right? Or is it bi-weekly? I used to be so certain but then all these discussions in college with people made me uncertain and bleh.) Well, playing with the idea of every other Saturday. Although if that happens, how will all of you get your weekly dose of Lime rambling?! How will you ever survive?

I know – STFU, Lime. I’m there. The randomly chosen winners:
(If you aren’t sure if you’re the winner or not, you can click on the name here, which takes you to the actual comment that was chosen. See? I try to take care of everything.)

A few weeks ago, we had author Jennifer Bernard here talking hot firemen, and also unexpected heroes. Double bonus post and all! The lucky winner is barbed1951!

Then, Vivian Arend popped up again! Her winner is Laurie.

Carolyn Crane was here with a hilarious post – which kinda dated me. :X As in *small voice* I didn’t know a lot. Maybe most. I did know the kool-aid one though, because… something someone studied debate whatever… and also almost every cartoon for adults has spoofed it, right? Well, definitely the Simpsons and Family Guy. But the point is – her winner is Jeffe Kennedy!

Lovely author PJ Schnyder guested and shared a recipe. I love étouffée. I also have a lot of guilt attached to it but that’s another story. Mary Preston! You get the prize of yay!

I think that’s everyone. If I missed a post/neglected to choose a winner, someone please let me know. Thanks!

Winners! Please noteemail me with all your relevant information and what your prize is please. It’ll be in the original post. Which I linked to right here for your convenience. See how nice I am to you? Please return the favor! Xoxo

And for everyone else who didn’t win – just like me – did you see the lovely Melissa Schoeder and Cynthia Eden also have guest posts here with giveaways! Go enter! 🙂

Oh – and any opinions? Questions? Things you’d like to ask authors in the crazy Author Interviews? (We’ve got a number coming up.)
